Hey there!
Let us begin by introducing ourselves. We are Pam, John and Campbell Griffin and we have the great opportunity to be the stewards of Hector's Creek Farm. The farm has been in John's family since 1882. That makes us 5th generation farmers. The farm is also recognized by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture as a "Century Farm."
Historically, as with most farms in Eastern North Carolina, this was a tobacco and row crop operation. Slowly we have changed the focus from a traditional tobacco farm to be more diversified. In 1998, John and I added two poultry houses that we operate as contract growers of broilers. Presently, in addition to operating the two poultry houses, we have about 25 acres in hay production. We look forward to meeting you, so come down to the farm and enjoy our Barn/Pavilion and The Maze at Hector's Creek.
